Item Description

This is an oil painting on canvas of a sailing ship signed "C. KREUTZBERG" in the lower left corner. The painting depicts a large, full-rigged sailing ship, possibly a clipper, on the open ocean. The artist used an impasto technique with visible, textured brushstrokes to capture the motion of the waves and clouds.
The work is believed to be antique based on the style and frame but we could not confirm artist attribution. Paint surface shows cracking but no paint loss, frame is in very good condition.
