Exposition de l'Oeuvre Dessiné et Peint de T.A. Steinlen, a major exhibition of work by Swiss-born French Art Nouveau painter and printmaker Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen (1859–1923).
Location and Date: The exhibition was held from April 10 to May 15, 1894, at La Bodinière, a theater and gallery located at 18 Rue St. Lazare in Paris, France.
The Poster ("Two Cats"): The event is famous for its promotional poster designed by Steinlen, often known as "A la Bodinière" or "Two Cats" (Des Chats). It features two cats—one black and one white—and showcases Steinlen's mastery of the Art Nouveau style and his love for portraying cats.
Significance: This was an important early showcase for Steinlen, who was highly regarded for his illustrations for magazines and cabaret advertisements (like Tournée du Chat Noir), as well as his depictions of daily Parisian life.
