Item Description

A decorative oil on board painted after Nicolas Lancret's composition depicting La Camargo dancing in a pastoral setting, accompanied by two musicians to the right. Executed in the Rococo manner characteristic of Lancret's elegant fête galante style, likely dating to the late 19th century based on the artist board and frame.
Presented in an oval gold-painted wooden frame sympathetic to the period and character of the work.

Frame: 25" x 31.5"

Condition: Very good, typical crazing consistent with age, a couple minor abrasions to painting, refer to photos.
