Ever since John Mack emigrated from Londonderry, Ireland ...view moreto Londonderry, New Hampshire in 1732, the Mack Family has been an essential part of the history and culture of the town—both as civic leaders and, most famously, as proprietors of Moose Hill Orchards (better known as Mack's Apples). Long the oldest continuously family-run farm in New Hampshire—eight generations—the farm was sold in 2021 and continues to operate under new ownership.

Even with the sale of the orchard, the sprawling white farmhouse on Mammoth Road remained in the family—until now. As the storied homestead passes to a new owner following the death of Andy Mack, Sr., we are pleased to offer a remarkable trove of Mack Family artifacts dating as far back as the 18th century. A virtual time capsule, the nearly 300 offerings range from humble but beautifully handmade objects that were essential to the operation of a busy household to exotic treasures gathered by family members during far-flung adventures. In addition to a wide range of primitives and utilitarian objects, the auction includes country and "fancy" furniture; folk art; decorative items; early advertising; pottery and glass; coins and medals; antique and vintage clothing; ephemera; historical items; weapons; and militaria spanning from the Revolutionary War through World War II, including a group of uniforms and equipment owned by Rear Admiral A. R. Mack, awarded the Silver Star by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1943.

All items in the auction are offered as is, with all faults, no guarantees, and no refunds for any reason. While every reasonable effort has been made to provide accurate descriptions and to document ...view moremajor/significant condition issues, many of the items in the auction are quite old and may have additional faults and flaws not specifically mentioned.

PICKUP AND PARKING:

Pickup will be at the Mack Homestead at 234 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days. To park, enter the house driveway (located between the house and the Mack's Apples farm stand). The driveway itself MUST be kept clear, so park in the grass on either side of the driveway (follow the signs). Please be courteous and patient; we will do our best to serve you as efficiently as possible, but it is difficult to predict the busiest times. (If you have to wait a few minutes, enjoy some fruit or ice cream next door at Mack's Apples!)

Successful bidders MUST bring their own moving help (for large/heavy items), boxes, and packing supplies.

Items that are too large, too fragile, or unwieldy (e.g., furniture, large lots of breakables, etc.) will NOT be released for shipping. You MUST clear all items for potential shipping PRIOR TO THE END OF THE AUCTION by contacting me through the AuctionNinja message system. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE PRIOR CONFIRMATION FROM ME I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR ITEM(S) WILL BE RELEASED FOR SHIPPING. This includes instances in which some items in your order are shippable and some are not; again, it is your responsibility to contact me to confirm if items are shippable BEFORE bidding. NO refunds will be given on the basis that an item isn't shippable.
