If you rely on Stripe to handle your payments, it’s important to go beyond the basics and make the most of the tools available to you. One of the most powerful—and often underutilized—is Stripe Radar, a feature designed to help protect your business from fraudulent activity. Understanding how to leverage it effectively can make a meaningful difference in keeping your transactions secure and your operations running smoothly.

Stripe Radar does the following:

  • It looks at every payment
  • It checks for suspicious behavior
  • It decides if the payment is safe or not

This is done by looking at large set of transactions. Radar flags and prevents you from accepting payments from:

Cards that were used for fraudulent / criminal activity
Abnormal purchasing behavior.

Access Radar Rules:

Log in to your stripe dashboard and navigate to Payments, then Radar or Radar & Risk (depending on your dashboard layout) in the sidebar.

Navigate to the "Radar" section to view, create, or edit rules that determine how Stripe handles potentially fraudulent payments.

Configure Block Rules:

Inside Radar, you can create rules to block specific card countries, CVC failures, or high-risk payments.

In today’s increasingly connected digital landscape, protecting your business from fraud isn’t optional—it’s essential. Stripe offers a powerful suite of tools designed to help safeguard your transactions and build trust with your customers. By taking full advantage of these resources, you can stay ahead of potential threats and position your business to grow and thrive in an ever-evolving online environment.
