1849 RARE German Naval Percussion Pistol - Only 1,000 Produced -very Good Condition

This weapon is a German Naval percussion pistol in very good condition. The maker's mark: "SUHL" , the two headed heraldic eagle and an anchor to indicate that it was produced for the Navy are all clearly evident on the side plate. There is also an inspector's stamp in the wood stock indicating that the stock is original. This weapon has an outstanding patina in both the brass and steel. The only concern noted is that the captive swiveling ramrod has a slight bend at the tip which does not affect workability of the ramrod and can be easliy repaired by a gunsmith. Federal or State firearms paperwork is not required for this weapon as it was produced prior to 1898 and is therefor exempt from any paperwork requirement.
