Bids placed on the simsburyantiques.com website are a ...view morebinding contract and you are responsible for paying all amounts due to Pickwick Papers Books & Antiques including sale price, buyer's premium and all applicable taxes. Please do not bid if you are unable to pay for and retrieve the items in the designated time period for each auction or estate sale. All sales are final. No returns, credits or exchanges. Failure to pick up items will result in forfeiture without refund, NO EXCEPTIONS- no requests for later pick up, we have no storage room.
All items are sold as is where is. We try to describe items to the best of our ability. We may not test items as to the working condition and do not guarantee that items work. Items that we sell are mostly used, vintage or antique and will have appropriate wear. We will describe any visible major damage. Please bring boxes, packing material and helpers necessary to get your items to your vehicle. We are not responsible for accidents.

Buyer’s premium of 15% and CT sales Tax of 6.35% will be added to the hammer price. If you have a resale certificate, no tax will be charged if you provide us with a copy before the end of the sale.

SHIPPING OFFERED ON SOME ITEMS. As a courtesy, if you are an out of area bidder we can ship generally only smaller non fragile items. If you are unsure if an item can be shipped, please contact us to confirm. Buyer pays actual shipping costs and a $5 handling fee. We will not estimate shipping costs, but generally the larger, heavier, and farther from CT the more expensive shipping will be. Buyer pays all Shipping and Handling costs after auction ends by contacting us by email/text, and paying preferably by PayPal. Failure to pay shipping within one week of auction results in forfeiture of items without refund.
