Signed Mort Künstler hand colored proof, 23/25 dated 9/11/2004 , “The Final Mission” H.I. Huntley, Charleston SC February 17, 1864 by Mort Künstler. Signed and copyrighted 03. Frame the Whaling Museum of Cold Spring Harbor Auction in 2004. Professionally framed with single mat in light wood frame. Certificate of authenticity is included as shown. In excellent used condition with age-appropriate patina and minor wear on frame as shown. Please see photos for more details. Approximate Measurements: 38”W x 30”H

About the Artist: Morton Kunstler (Born 1931) is active/lives in New York. Morton Kunstler is known for Illustration, Civil War genre.
Known for his Civil War genre paintings, Mort Kunstler studied art at Brooklyn College, U.C.L.A., and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He became a successful illustrator in New York and received assignments including numerous book and magazine publishers. He was affiliated with the National Geographic Magazine, and through their assignments of historical subject matter, learned the value of accuracy by working with historians. He also did illustrations for The Saturday Evening Post, Newsweek, and Argosy.
