We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of seeing seeing, touching and learning about many unique pieces and are sure you will too. First thing you will notice is that our client was a lover of art and not just one particular style or medium. There are pieces from all over the world, from obscure artists to the well known. You will peruse gorgeous pieces of art from Connecticut to Europe, Japan, Russia, Hungary and many others. We have awesome paintings from Connecticut born artist Alton S. Tobey, American artistJoanne Henness and others from around the globe such as Mark Chegall, Paul Gauguin, Carlo Maratti, Janos Czencz to name a few. Besides paintings we have art made from wood to silver, porcelain and crystal. You will be amazed to perhaps see for the first time, rare religious icons that are intricately made by hand and are as large as almost six feet. There are gorgeous gilt column clocks with one by Gustav Becker, Italian glass lamps by Casa Luca, other lamps by Holt Kotter Luecheten, Frederick Cooper and other designers. There is so much stunning crystal and glass from EAPG, Tiffany, Waterford, Bleikerstall and more. Porcelain by Kutani Yaki, Raymond Waites for Toyo, Canton Ware, Rosenthal, Knowles etc...Many large piece of brass and copper cookware as well as a very old and heavy wood and metal pot rack. We have textiles-Persian hand tied wool rugs, silk sampler, tapestries, silk ties and other items. Sterling candle sticks from Cartier a 14K Russian gold ring.
