Item Description

Richard Gordon Packer (1916-1998) was from Lynn, Massachusetts. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1934 and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1938. The teaching staff at that time included the noted sculptor Cyrus Edward Dallin, N.A. (1861-1944) and painter Ernest Lee Major (1864-1951). Packer traveled extensively, painting in Europe, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, and southwestern United States.
Frame has damage, painting is in good condition, 30 x 24.
