Shōno-juku (庄野宿 Shōno-juku) was the forty-fifth of the fifty-three stations of the Tōkaidō.
Shōno-juku, as depicted by Hiroshige in the Hōeidō edition of The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō (1831–1834). The print is titled Shōno's White Rain (白雨 Haku'u).
Please note: Picture was rebacked due to the poor condition of the existing backing and that it was detrimental to the print. The existing frame and mat, which was hand-carved to match the contours of the print, were kept. The original backing is available for viewing. A photograph of the publisher's mark, which is normally under the mat, was taken at the time of rebacking. (please see pic. #3 ).
