Vintage Unique Cardinal 1983 Fantasy Cartoon CERAMIC CHESS SET Limited Edition -A vintage large ceramic limited edition chess set made by Cardinal Industries and sold at J.C. Penney stores. Fantasy, cartoon like characters fire glazed ceramic -Kings are 3-3/4 inches tall, with 2 inch diameter base. king has a metal base printed "Limited Edition Chess Set 1 of 8000 1983"All other pieces have a felted bottom - includes wood framed stained glass look glass game board with brass plaque with same tag as bottoms of the pieces - board is 19" x 19" - has some scuffs around the wood edges - also included is 12" x 12" wood 2 sided chess/backgammon board
