Unusual Collage Of 12 Antique Photos Printed On Silk
Framed the piece measures 25" X 26"
The photos are all printed in blue, or have turned blue from light exposure.
The collage has been created by assembling 12 photos printed on silk.
Each image measures 6" x 4.25".
Each photo depicts a camp or outdoor scene from the late 19th century.
There are several different silk textures, I believe these are actually antique textile.
Between each photo, the artist has used antique lace & velvet ribbons.
There is some discoloration in some of the photos, and a little foxing.
But there are no tears or loss of fabric.
I have never seen another piece like this, although I have seen antique photos printed on textiles.
The collage is matted and framed in a black frame.
