Item Description

Two Antique Apothecary Mortars in very good condition. The taller of the two has good weight and a handsome, possibly Near Eastern form with a deep green patina interior. There is a slight bend to the top edge which does not detract. The second mortar is very heavy with a simple classic flared rim form, and also has a fine deep green interior patina. Both Mortars are very fine and quite old.
The taller Mortar measures 3.75” high by 4.5” diameter.
The shorter Mortar measures 3” high by 4.15” diameter.
