Low Hours Barn Find JOHN DEERE GT245 20HP LAWN TRACTOR & ACCESSORIES!

This is a great barn find, John Deere GT245 Lawn Tractor with ONLY 81.9 hours on the clock (see photo). This machine was manufactured in May 2002 (see another photo). This model was only produced by Deere from 2002-2005. The headlights work, tires look good, and everything seems really tight and clean on this machine. Seat is in good shape, cup holder, and air conditioning (I'm just seeing if you're paying attention).

It has sat in the barn of a house that a friend of mine bought a few years ago. We recently did some minor work on it and got it running fairly easily. It starts up, drives, etc. It seems that it could be used as is, but I would certainly suggest doing a service on it. The engine is a Kawasaki 20HP V-Twin.

The accessories are all by Deere (except for the seed spreader). The accessories include the 54C Convertible Mower Deck, a Combination Aerator/Spreader, a MC-519 Cart Bagger, and Tractor Trunk.

Some of the accessories have varying paint/rust issues, but are solid and don't seem to have rust going through the metal. Some scraping, sanding of paint, and a touch up standard Deere green could have these pieces looking great.

The mower decks paint in a few spots is a bit flaky on top. We have gotten all of the blades to turn in unison. and have given the blade assemblies a generous lubrication bath. Obviously a good blade sharpening couldn't hurt. The underside of the deck could definitely use a good wire brushing/ primer / and paint if you want the deck to last.

This is a really great machine! There are some cosmetic issues with some of the accessories, but if you are even slightly handy, you could have this machine looking amazing in no time.
