Item Description

This lot of antique razors has some gems, and some that are better off folded. In being, two are rusted but their handles are in great shape, and three are in good overall condition.
1. Antique, rare straight razor with Chinese symbols stamped into the amber/gold somewhat translucent scales, with other symbols on the tang. It was probably made for Chinese-American immigrant market during the 1850's. The symbols on the shank are not part of the Chinese language.
2. Antique Geneva Cutlery green celluloid scales & green coffin box. For parts or to add to your Barberiana collection as is. On the scales is a large eagle with "The American" and "Razor". Ca early 1900's.
3. Antique straight razor with wood scales by Connecticut Hardware & Paint Co with a blue box. It does not open- so for parts or collection display.
4. Double razor black coffin box: "Frederick Reynolds, Providence Works, 60 Cell St. Sheffield American Beauty "New England Razor Co, Boston, Straight Razor. The end tip of the long section is missing.
5. On the blade is: "George Wostenholm & Sons, Celebrated Hollow Ground " with ebony scales. Sheffield. Steel is spotted with rust and spots. 6 1/4" Long when closed and 9 3/4" when open.
6. On the handle: "Durham Demonstrator". Durham Duplex Double Edge Comb Razor. On the top of the blades is: Durham and the two lions surrounding a crest. On the shank is Pat. US May 28, '07.
This razor is shiny and clean. 5 3/4" when closed and 8 3/4" when fully open.
7. An unlabeled black coffin box - the long section only.
8. A short section only of a black coffin box that has " Wester Bros, New York , Made in Germany and an anchor.

Condition

Consistent with age and use.
