Late19th Century DERBY SILVER Aesthetic Movement 3 Piece Coffee Set.

The set includes: 12" Coffee pot with Hinged lid, 5 1/2" Sugar Bowl and 6 3/4" Creamer.
The design features lots of fabulous aesthetic movement elements reflecting the new found passion for travel and all places exotic. Palm Fronds, Scrolls, Flowers, Persian carpets, Byzantine arches, wild animals and more.
Handles and feet are deeply sculpted.
All three pieces are engraved with the letter Y.
The set is marked Quadruple Plated.
It does not mean it was plated 4 times, but rather that Derby used 4 times as much pure silver in their plating as any other similar hollowware.
The Derby Silver Company was founded in 1872 in Derby, CT. In 1898, the plant merged with the International Silver Company, a consortium of Connecticut silver companies. Rule of thumb, items with the Derby Silver Company logo date from the 19th century, after which the hallmarks changed.
These pieces are in excellent condition.
No dents and no deep gouges.
It has a beautiful patina. Areas of the surface were finished with a matt texture and oxidized. These areas create a gorgeous contrast to the high polish areas.
All pieces are hallmarked with the Derby Silver Anchor mark and product code 1600.
