Jørgen Nash is known for being a critic of the established, and throughout his career he has created happenings where he has used the media as material. The best-known happening in this genre was the story of the murder of the little mermaid in 1966. He has several times made happenings through the media together with the artist Jens Jørgen Thorsen, and together they have performed approx. 150 happenings, performances and action games.
Nash's paintings reflect both spontaneity and his great appetite for colour, where he likes to mix materials and traditions. His use of bright colors and the joy of the materials refer back to the artists in and around Cobra.
