"Dream Fragment” Sculpture On Column Pedestal Stand

From the series titled City of Angels In this architectural figure series, the brick armature is revealed, the layers breaking away abstracts the figure and a host of interesting dynamics come into play, attention to beauty lost is heightened. Breaking out of your confines, the juxtaposition between hard and soft is like the layers of the human personality or character, Inner strength is stronger than flesh and bone. The original is sculpted in clay. Then a mold is made and textured layers of clay are pressed into the mold. The figure shape is the same but the texture and fragmentation on each piece is one of a kind, creating multiple originals within an edition.



This figure fragment is the front only, it has a hollow back. It includes a stand and pedestal to which it is showcased on.
