Born and raised in the countryside of Vancouver Island, Ariane experienced a wealth of natural beauty all around her, and started painting at the age of twelve. With great encouragement from her family and friends, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Parsons Paris School of Art and Design.
