2 Pc Copper Lot ~ Coppercraft Guild & Gregorian Copper ~ Interesting History

The Coppercraft piece was a hand hammered bowl floral design 11" diam 2" h. Coppercraft was started in 1973 and closed in 1983. The start date and close date are disputed by Coppercraft fans who say it opened as early as 1949 and closed as late as 1983. The fun facts are that it was a division of Tandy Corporation (Radio Shack) and sold their products at copper parties like tupperware. The process used guaranteed that it would not tarnish and it still looks great. The second piece was made by Gregorian Copper #360 and is a handmade oblong shape bow 11” L x 5" w. Lots of scratches. see pictures. The story behind this one is it was made by P. R. Gregori who started with his brother in his parent's garage in 1946 in Southern California. He was educated at Butler Art institute in youngstown ohio. They built the business until it was sold to Sunbell in 1968.
