19th Century: 12 Knives + 2 Forks Bingham's Best Brand Steer Bone Handle with Pewter Inlay
Set/12 Knives with Steel Blades.
Each Knife is clearly marked BBB, Bingham's Best Brand Cleveland.
2 Forks (with 3 Tines.)
Forks are also marked BBB.
Bingham's was Incorporated in 1888, so these were likely made between 1888 - 1899.
The three tines on the forks indicates that these were made in the 19th Century.This set is in excellent condition.
Bingham's was primarily known for manufacturing of Tools, but made cutlery as well in the earlier years of operation under the BBB Name.
All of the bone is in great shape with a lovely patina. They have clearly NOT been put through the dishwasher.
The pewter ends and inlay also have a warm smooth finish.
There is some age appropriate oxidation on the blades and tines - I leave the choice of cleaning or leaving as is to the buyer.
All joints are tight, blades and tines are straight.
