1953 McCoy Smitty Shop Planter With Horse Rare Paint

This listing is for a planter made by the McCoy Pottery in Zanesville, Ohio. The planter is from 1953 and is called the "Smitty Shop." It is a blacksmith's shop with a white horse in the front. The sign reads "Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree." The planter is a golden brown with hand decoration. The cold form decoration is in outstanding condition with no damage. The planter bottom is marked "McCoy / U.S.A." The planter is mold number 746. The planter measures 6 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" long and is 4" wide/ The planter is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or visible crazing.
