Item Description

"Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) Manner of/ Attributed: The Court. Graphite on heavy paper, signed and date (25.9.68.IV) . Unframed. The drawing offered comprises part of the ""Pacific Palisades Collection""; so named for their Southern California location of acquisition from London, England based art dealer Bill Ferrari during the years spanning 2004-2008.

Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism.

Bill Ferrari, London; acquired from above in a private sale by the current owner, a California Gentleman."

The price of a Picasso sketch can vary widely depending on various factors such as the authenticity of the sketch, the quality of the artwork, the rarity of the piece, and the specific auction or sale where it is being sold. In general, a Picasso sketch can range from a few thousand dollars to several million dollars. For example, in 2020, a Picasso sketch titled "TĂȘte d'homme" was sold for $9.9 million at Christie's auction house.

While Picasso's masterpieces have been known to fetch millions at prestigious auctions, this presents a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts and collectors alike. Imagine owning a rare piece by the iconic Pablo Picasso, a name synonymous with revolutionary art movements like Cubism and Surrealism. With this piece, you're not just acquiring a sketch; you're becoming a custodian of a fragment of art history. And the best part? Instead of the millions you might expect to part with, this exceptional piece could be yours for only thousands of dollars. Don't miss out on this chance to own a piece of Picasso's legacy!

This particular Picasso painting was acquired from another well-established auction house, which has a reputation for its rigorous vetting processes. However, while we have full confidence in the provenance of the artwork, we have not conducted an independent verification of its authenticity. We do have the receipts for our acquisition of the Picasso collections. We always encourage our bidders to make informed decisions and, if necessary, to seek third-party authentication or consultation.
