This is a late 19th-century stoneware jug by White's Pottery, Utica, NY. The cobalt blue decoration feature a bird. It's 11.5" tall, 7.5" diameter, and the handle is broken (see Photo). Noah White started making pottery in Utica in 1834. He purchased Addington Pottery in 1839 and started producing stoneware under the "N. WHITE" mark with his son Nicholas. In 1849, the company was renamed "N. WHITE AND SONS" when William joined as a partner.
