Steuben Glass Swan

This graceful swan is detailed in smoothly polished crystal with a backward-arching neck and beak pressed close to its languid body. Symbol of elegance, faithfulness, and monogamy, the swan mates for life. In the 18th and 19th centuries, young ladies attending dances employed porcelain, marble, and glass eggs to cool hands, heated by the excitement of the evening.
