Item Description

Very large leaves and stocky stems. Indumentum on new leaves is pure white, changing to a light tan color over time. Flowers pink, many to the truss. This is what is referred to as a "big leaf hybrid", as the species rex in its parentage is one of a group of rhododendrons with huge leaves. This trait has been passed on to this hybrid. Very unusual look to this plant, which can be appreciated more for its foliage than flowers.
