Itzchak Tarkay Artist's Proof Hand Signed Serigraph " Untitled" With Stamp Of Authenticity, Custom Framed

Absolutely stunning artist proof by Itzchak Tarkay. It’s hand signed as well in the bottom right hand corner. It has a seal of authenticity under “AP” written in pencil. It is in like new condition and the frame and custom matting emphasize the vibrant colors of the work.

It has some scuffs and scratches to the frame. It has been nicely custom framed & matted! It measures about 26" wide by 30" tall.

Itzchak Tarkay was an Israeli artist, known for both his paintings & his graphic art. He was born in Serbia in 1935. Tarkay, at age 9, was sent to a concentration camp with his family by the Nazis until liberated a year later. He & his family immigrated to Israel in 1949, and he went to school for art & design.

Tarkay was a leader in the female figural movement and worked in beautiful colors in acrylic and watercolor. His imagery is almost dream-like and invokes feelings of peace and happiness. He mentored many younger artists throughout his career.

Tarkay passed away in 2012 while visiting Park West Gallery in Detroit.
