About the artist
Fernando De Jesus Oliveira - also known as Ferjo - is a Brazilian artist born in 1946. His artwork spans the world of surrealist, abstract, and metaphysical. He incorporates other artists' masterpieces - such as Van Gogh's "Starry Nights" or Picasso's Portrait of Dora Maar - into some of his work. Most of his pieces are set in rooms in homes - entryways, stairways, doors overlooking gardens, and include interesting space fractals, such as huge bubbles or reflective fragments of the room. His style is very much his own - and he has won awards around the world for it.
