London: Chapman and Hall., 1882. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 30 volume set, 10.25 inches tall, 6 feet 3 inches in length. A spectacular set, an Edition de Luxe, limited to 1000 copies of which this is number 67. Simply but elegantly bound by Zaehnsdorf in half crushed morocco with gilt raised bands, gilt titles, pallets and all edges. Illustrated throughout with india paper engravings on card, some hand coloured. Some slight scuffing but with no weakening of boards or loss. A superb set of this grand work, the finest of all Chapman and Hall's editions.
