Antique TODD MFG. Protectograph Check Writer / Printer Circa 1919 Rochester, NY NICE!!

This was the check security system of the early 1900's!! Protected against fraud for businesses, banks, and personal use. It makes an impression on the paper that was nearly impossible to alter or counterfeit. It used 2 colors of ink and forced the ink into the fibers of the paper making it difficult or impossible to duplicate, bleach or otherwise alter. Not sure if this machine works, but it seems to be in excellent condition and in working order! All parts move, open and turn as they should. Rollers work, turn when you use the hand crank and paper feeds around them as I believe it is supposed to do. It is still inked (red & black). Overall size is 18" long; 6" high.
