Antique Japanese Bamboo Ladies Desk (CTF20)

Ca. 1880's Japanese lacquerware ladies desk, with an upper bamboo gallery with holders for quills and two small inserts for ink, a lacquerware top decorated with birds and cherry blossoms, slant lid opening to an embossed leather interior, proper left is fitted with two short drawers and proper right with a single door, on a bamboo stretcher base, the back of the piece is beautifully leather embossed.
