Frank Herz 2006 Painting - Abstract oil painting by Frank Herz (1936-2016) on carved board. Some surface wear to artwork, including three scratches notes. Artwork measures 44.5" by 60". Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Frank and his family escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 and immigrated to the USA. In the early 1960s, he was a pioneer in what is now SOHO, converting commercial industrial spaces into art and living spaces.
