Vintage Metropolitan Museum 'MMA' Rabbit Brooch ~ Victorian Bunny PinThis charming Victorian reproduction rabbit brooch was purchased from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in the 1980's. The sitting rabbit is very well made and dimensional, with four feet, two ears, detailed fur and musculature, and is done in an antiqued gold finish on metal (brass?). The rabbit wears a collar of vibrant ruby-red stones around its neck. It's eye sparkles with red enamel, and the rabbit is definitely smiling! The pin measures 1-5/16" high and 1" across; is hollow in back, and is signed "MMA" (The Metropolitan Museum of Art) and "MAd" (possibly Museum of Arts and Design). It is in Excellent Condition.
