Each of these four dolls are designed by Peggy Nesbit and represents important parts of English history and culture. They are about 7- 9 inches high and are dressed in familiar costumes. Doll 1 is a piper from the Royal Highlanders, wearing the black watch plaid. There are bagpipes which need to be glued back on. Second doll is an English "Bobby" (policeman) His metal helmet has a fine crack. Doll 3 is from the English Cavalry. Some crackling on the leather boots and gloves, Doll 4 is a Beefeater guard from Buckingham palace, complete with a plumed hat and chest plate.
