Fleurs Des Siecles By Jane Hutcheson For Gorham, Strawberry Basket, Small

6" H. The Fleurs des Siècles line was designed by Jane Hutcheson for Gorham in Gorham’s “Giftworld” division, from c. 1972 to the early 1980’s. The main line of these pieces included: (1) Porcelain containers (cachepots, compotes, monteith bowls) and (2) gilt baskets, filled/bursting with enamel flowers, buds, leaves, and other floral arrangements, and strawberries, on gold plated stems. The porcelain containers were designed and manufactured by Mottahedeh, Herend, Vista Alegre, Hutschenreuther, and Limoges, as well as some that were apparently designed and commissioned by Ms. Hutcheson and Gorham. There were also opaline compotes with ormolu bases and trim, some silver-metal baskets.
