Race Car Door (AMC Gremlin) Driven By Art Davis - Danbury Racearena - 1970's

Before the Danbury Mall was the Danbury Fairgrounds and Racearena, which would have Races every Saturday Night. The Racearena held races from 1908 to 1981 (horse racing, the Mighty Midgets, stock cars, modifieds and even boat races), when the property was sold to developers for the mall.

Offered today is the car door from a AMC Gremlin driven at the Racearena by one of the prominent race car drivers at these races during the 1970's, Art Davis. The door measures 44.5" x 25" and shows the wear and tear from racing, crashes, and being stored for the past 40 years. A Very Cool piece of Danbury History.

Included in the photos are shots of the Racearena, a newspaper clipping, and a T-shirt that can be purchased on the internet.
