The Fiberglass Shell Chair is easily one of the most important and recognizable designs of the twentieth century. They were originally designed in 1948, as an entry in The Museum of Modern Art’s International Design Competition. At the time, no one could possibly have anticipated the massive success and longevity of this iconic design.
The Eames Shell Chair with Eiffel Tower Maple Base is a mid-century modern chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s. The chair features a shell seat made from molded fiberglass, which is contoured to provide comfort and support. The Eiffel Tower base is a unique design element, consisting of a set of crossed metal rods that resemble the structure of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The maple base option provides a warm and natural touch to the chair's design. The chair is available in a variety of colors, allowing it to fit into a range of interior design styles. It remains a popular and iconic piece of furniture that blends form and function, with a timeless and enduring aesthetic.
