Item Description

Aurelio Teno was a famous sculptor from Cordoba, Spain. He worked in many different mediums.
He began as an apprentice to the sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos and then moved to his workshop specializing in silver before studying painting and drawing at the School of Arts & Crafts in Cordoba.
Has a large important sculpture at the NE corner of the Kennedy Center in Washington DC called Don Quixote.
It was a gift from Spain presented for the Bicentennial of the United States by King Juan Carlos and Queen SofĂ­a on June 3rd, 1976.
