Provenance: Mr. & Mrs. Harry Bertschmann purchased this mural in 1964 at the Indian Pavilion of New York World’s Fair.

Literature: The section on India in the Official Guide to the New York World’s Fair (1964) describes the exhibit as “ART OLD AND NEW. A Fifth Century Buddha, 20th Century murals and fabulous tapestries are shown.”
