DAVID TOBEY Signed Artist Proof "Passages" Framed Art Work!

David Tobey was born in New York in 1954 at Beth Israel. He has two studios; one is in his home and the other, where he sculpts, is an iron worker's shop.

He is an action painter and sculptor. He also works in ceramics and does drawings. He works with mixed medias, oil, acrylic, steel, etc. He is the son of the famous illustrator, Alton Tobey, and concert pianist Roslyn Tobey.

He has his Master's Degree in studio art and a degree from Julliard School of Music. Music is his inspiration, and painting his passion.

He is also inspired by science and technology.

He began painting at age two. Tobey has been featured in The New York Times and has been on Time Warner Cable.
