Condition - Uncirculated mint condition - Display quality coin
The obverse features the bare head of King Edward VII facing right, with the legend: 'EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:'
The reverse shows Britannia seated facing right, wearing a helmet, and holding a trident.
Her other hand rests on a shield bearing the Cross of Saint George. The word 'FARTHING' is in the field above, and the date in the exergue below.
Artificially darkened when minted to reduce likelihood of confusion with similarly sized half sovereign.
