Russian Lacquer Box From Kholui Village Signed

Here is a beautiful Russian lacquered box from the village of Kholui. The lid is hinged and feature a handcrafted motif on the top that is mythological. The box is very well made and made of materials such as papier-mâché, egg, tempera, gold, aluminum, linseed oil and lacquer. The box is signed by the artist and titled. It reads “Made in Russia” on the bottom with the Kholui mark. The box measures 6 1/4” wide, 4 1/4” long and 1 1/4” tall. It is in very good condition with no garage.
