O/C applied to board, primitive mill scene with falls flowing from building and figure standing at shore of river, signed illegibly, probably mid 19th century. Note smudge mark under glass over the arched area, but the painting appears in good condition - has not been examined out of frame. Mounted in a gilt gesso frame with several gesso losses. Sight size 8 3/4" x 12 1/2" and total frame size 14 1/2" x 18 1/2". Provenance: From a Rochester NY estate, name withheld by family.
