A Chippendale style 2 part secretary cabinet, mid to late 19th century. The top section with broken arch top and brass finial, 2 glass doors each with 8 lights with real mullions and adjustable shelving on interior, over drop front desk having a good fitted interior with 2 hidden compartments with fronts in the shape of fluted 1/2 columns - the desk over 4 graduated drawers with beading and original brass pulls and escutcheons, flanked by 1/4 fluted columns, mounted on an ogee bracket base. The drawers all with fine hand dovetailing with chamfered bottoms. The cabinet in an old refinish and with minor restoration to the back boards. It measures 35 1/2"W x 23"D x 90"H.
