Cast Iron Mechanical Bank, "Aunt Gemima" Made By John Harper, England

This is an original Black Americana Black Mammy Aunt Jemima cast iron bank made by John Harper. The bottom shows embossed lettering that reads, “John Harper & Co. England”. This is a mechanical working bank that works by the user pulling the lever on the back which causes the are to move toward the mouth and shows the tongue being pulled back and the eyes rolling, then dropping the coin in the hand into the banks mouth. Great crisp original paint with no cracks., 20th century
