Pair of Antique Victorian Cast Iron Hitching Posts

Took a picture from a J W Fiske catalog and looks the same form. This is absolutely and original pre-1900 original iron piece and not a copy. Not sure if it is the Fiske version but this had fencing attached and each end I expect and you can see the protruding parts where it either attached to a fence or a gate. These are tree pattern hitching post that in fact were the gate holding pillars of a Lamb and Willow Victorian fence. They are very heavy and easy to install. Dig a hole and bury the heavy underground base part and fill with dirt. Had these installed in my garden from estate so I removed them so someone else could install in their garden.

Very good, but certainly not like brand new, Examine photos is best description
