Antique Ring, Flower With Amethyst Stone Fragment, Gold Colored, Eagle & Arrows Mark (Ostby & Barton Co?)

Metal composition is unknown. I see no gold purity mark and this item is untested. Size is approximately a 6. The mark on this ring is two arrows on each side of an eagle head, and the OB mark from pre-1910 (pre-Titanic), has one larger arrow on each side of the same eagle head. If not OB, then mark is unknown.
Ostby & Barton Co was founded in 1879, and grew to become the largest ring manufacturer in the world. The founder died on the Titanic and his daughter survived to continue the business into the 1950's.
