Item Description

Vintage Mountain Village Scene Painting On Board By Forrest K. Moses May 1949. Folk artist, Measures Approximately 22” W X 17” Tall In A Wood Frame. May be Forrest Moses. Grandson of Grandma Moses. Lived mostly in New York. Born in 1893, Moses got an early start in art, at least when compared to "Grandma." He was a fifty-six year old farmer when he began to paint pictures in a style very much like his mother's, that celebrated a fading rural life in the Adirondack Mountains in Eagle Bridge, New York. According to ask or.net, his hayu auction record was in 2022 at $9000.
