1900-1971


Father: Lajos Székely

Mother: Vilma Székely, born Prosnitz, psychoanalyst
An older sister Alice, who later became Alice Balint, a psychoanalyst, and wife of psychoanalyst Michael Balint.
A brother, Ferenc, architect



The parents divorced around 1903 or 4, the mother remarried Frigyes Kovács, architect, who adopted children from his wife.

Olga: Born February 19, 1900 in Szeged, Hungary



Begin drawing and painting since childhood.



Art Studies at the School Mrs. Ernestine Lovagh, then with the painter Robert Berény



First exhibition at Galerie Ernst in 1922.



Married in 1924 Ladislas Dormand, writer and publisher (Editions Pantheon)
Birth of a daughter in 1925

Performs all forms of art: oil paintings, drawings, watercolors, no money, sculpture, wood carving, caricatures in pen, ceramics, stone lithographs, serigraphs.

Numerous exhibitions in Budapest, including the Ernst Museum.


Pass each year several months in Paris to paint and exhibit (Galerie Charpentier, Bernheim, Zak Gallery, Lucie Weill, etc..).


Exhibits in London (Leicester Gallery) and New York (Este Gallery, etc ...


Caricatures of writers and politicians, including André Gide, Henri Barbusse, etc. ...


A table (Child with cat) purchased by the Musée du Jeu de Paume


Illustrated many books Márai, Fejtö, Dormand, several children's books.

In 1938 emigration to Paris.



No official business during the German occupation.


Begins to explain after the end of the war (Young Bernheim Gallery, Galerie du Pont des Arts)
Illustrations of "Silence of the Sea" Vercors by a dozen color lithographs.
A table (Young girls Hammameth) purchased by the Louvre

Since 1956, biannual visits to the United States, where she made many portraits in different cities (New York, Chicago, Kansas City, etc ..., (nearly 500) and several exhibitions.

Died in 1971


In 1973, an exhibition in his memory is held at the French Institute in New York in 2004 at the Hungarian Institute in Paris.
